On the first day we arrived on Gatwick Airport in London. We were brought to the LSI school in Hove and got to know our host families. On the second day we went to school and visited the Seven Sisters. The experience was totally worth it the impressions were breathtaking. We took a lot of amazing photos there. On Friday after school we went to the North Lanes where we admired the street art on the walls of Brighton. Right after visiting the North Lanes we celebrated a birthday in the garden of the Royal Pavilion. When the weekend started our excitement got higher, because we were going to visit London! It took us about 100 minutes to go to the big city. When we arrived there we immediately got confronted with the big underground system. It was confusing, because it was much bigger and more complex than the underground system in Vienna. We went to Westminster Abbey and saw Big Ben and the London Eye. Then we walked along the Thames and did some sightseeing. We stopped at the Tower Bridge and the Tower. We also went to Oxford Street, there were so many people. The next day was Sunday. London was on our agenda again. We visited Buckingham Palace and we were on the London Eye. On Monday morning we attended school again. After school we had a lot of freetime, so most of us went shopping in the shopping Centre in Brighton. In the evening, we watched a musical in theater in Brighton. We had a lot of fun there. On the last full day, we ate dinner with our teachers in an old pub. We talked a lot and the food was very tasty. On Wednesday, the day of our departure, we just had our last school day and then we were brought to the airport.
The experience has had a huge impact on our lives. We had had the chance to live in a different country with a different culture and habits. We learned a lot.
We would recommend that kind of journey and experience to everyone who wants to get a big lesson for his or her life. It was a pleasure to be in England with our teachers Ms Plattner and Ms Stella-Leban and a big thank you to the people who made that possible.
